01 The NBT book

The Complete NBT Mathematics Practice Book

597 pages · 915 questions · 10 chapters · 3 mock exams

The NBT Mathematics test gives you 60 questions in three hours with no calculator. This book teaches every topic it draws on, from factorising to differentiation, and explains not only the right answer but why each wrong option is tempting.

Read it chapter by chapter in your browser, or download the whole thing as a PDF and work through it offline.

11 topics · timed sprints · progress saved locally

The NBT gives you no calculator, so arithmetic speed is worth real marks. Drill addition through cube roots and percentages, set your own number ranges, and race a timer if you want the pressure.

Why this is free

Because the people who need it most can least afford it

NBT results affect university admission and placement, and commercial preparation courses are expensive. This book took months to write and every answer in it was verified by computation before it was published, but it costs you nothing.

The site is paid for by a small number of ads. They are kept off the practice screens and out of the way of the reading, because a study site that fights you is a study site you stop using.

Share it freely with anyone who needs it — learners, classmates, a whole school. Please link to the pages here rather than re-uploading the PDF elsewhere, so that everyone gets the corrected, current version.
