What the SAT Math section actually is
Two modules, 27 questions each on the official practice papers, and a calculator is permitted on every question. That last point shapes this whole book: if a calculator can do the arithmetic, the arithmetic is not what is being examined — the marks are in setting the problem up.
About a quarter of the questions have no options at all. You work the answer out and enter it yourself, and the way you write it can throw the mark away. Chapter 8 is devoted to those.
